Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) After buying seven "Kid Chameleon" releases and two "Short Story Picture Book" EPs, it's time to move on to another one of Liam James Marsh's music projects. "Tired Eyes" is a cooperation with singer and lyricist Ellie Vincent. If you happen to know some "Kid Chameleon" songs, you won't be shocked by something completely different here. However, the music takes off into a thrilling 5th dimension thanks to Ellie Vincent's flawless vocals, which blend ideally with the playful orchestrations. Favorite track: Bygones Begin.

Girl's got a smile Tooth gapped and wired Stepping so carefully Eyes are still tired and I'm told that I'm getting old Mother won't approve but we've both got nothing to lose Home's got a shine A love left in time The same grey, cracked pavements and walls stacked with lies But I'm sold on a city so cold That on my worst days I'll struggle to long for the haze We've been walking a while Mile upon mile Each aching step slowly taking your smile And it's true that I'm pushing it We force limbs to move You're longing for bed and sleep soon Girl's got a smile Tooth gapped and wired Stepping so carefully Eyes are still tired and I'm told that I'm getting old Father won't approve but we've both got nothing to lose Mother won't approve but we've both got nothing to lose

Round the track we've been I'm on my last lap I'm running thin, losing patience The laughter's contagious If only it stopped being fun And despite your doubts You'll never mean nothing to no one Ring-a-ring of sin I'll be burning crosses soon You're looking thin, never gain grace Hide away to save face I probably won't be there when you're 21 And despite your doubts You'll always mean something to someone You gave me Saint Valentine I'll give you Joan of Arc And American Football in the dark Just give me Saint Valentine I'll show you longest nights And we'll sleep to Bright Eyes in daylight You can overthink nights away if you need to I'll wait for as long as it takes you Are you ever afraid that We'll always be waiting for the summer sun And despite your doubts You'll never mean nothing to no one You'll always mean something to someone You'll always mean everything to me

The city took our constellations The lights take simple pleasures from me Doing dot-to-dot, counting shapes and getting lost Woken by nightmares of bloodclots Taking another's heart Tearing a twosome in half When five becomes three Three becomes two Two becomes one You'd better run When your mother's sick and helpless Will you find it in yourself to forgive? When your mother's sick and helpless Will the end of bygones begin? Problems won't fix themselves Holes won't fill on their own Recorded conversations Fingers ready at 999 A lie, a visit and a sigh When five becomes three Three becomes two Two becomes one You'd better run When your mother's sick and helpless Will you find it in yourself to forgive? When your mother's sick and helpless Will the end of bygones begin?

Early hour airports Who let loose the walking dead? We're fighting off sleep Waiting on our next meet Were you scared? Busy streets are useless There's no more joy in town We get up, we collapse We grow better, relapse And you said I sweat out the night You sleep it through just fine I'll wait out the night You'll sleep it through just fine Your words might be damning But I've got penance in sound Whatever makes me feel this way on my worst days can stay
